Client education; the LPN reinforces and repeats teaching the RN has planned, then reports back what the client understood.
Client teaching provides the information and skills people need to manage their own health. Assess readiness to learn and health literacy first, then tailor the content to the learner’s needs, language, and developmental level. Confirm understanding with teach-back rather than assuming, and address any barriers such as pain, anxiety, or language before teaching.
