Citing Textual Evidence

Identifying the specific words, lines, or details in a passage that support a given claim, inference, or conclusion.

This skill runs in both directions on the TEAS: given a conclusion, find the evidence; given evidence, find the conclusion it supports. Strong evidence is specific and directly relevant, not just thematically nearby.
